This single block Chardonnay, from our high-density vines, showcases vibrant notes of white
flowers and peach. The sun-filled ripening conditions of the vintage impart a savoury, chalky
texture, while still preserving the mineral freshness and delicate nuances characteristic of
Main Ridge.
The 2022 Trahere Pinot Noir is the first wine crafted solely from our high-density Spedding
Vineyard, a blend of three exceptional clones—Abel, Pommard, and Calera—grown across
the 1.48 ha site. These clones thrived under the ideal 2022 harvest conditions, resulting in
a wine of remarkable complexity and sophistication. Layers of vibrant red cherry, bramble
spice, and blackberry surround silky tannins, driving a fruit intensity and structure that
lingers beautifully on the palate.
The Gabrielle has incredible fine detail and elegance, and provides a first look of a wine from what is our newest, smallest and most visited vineyard. Fresh cut white flowers and a grapefruit pith edge, this wine is bright and lively in a beautiful delicate way. More notes of orange zest sneak into the palate that flows with a hazelnut crumb and mineral moreish phenolic drive.
Vibrant white stone fruit of peach and nectarine and a hint of struck match. A powerful yet refined palate highlights the depth of fruit and overall purity that are typical of this site. There are savoury chalky edges that add complexity and a bright cut lemon citrus drive that lingers.
Exotic spice, rose petal perfume and a glimpse of sous bois. Baked cherry and mulberry pie notes lift the palate giving florals, spice and bright dense fruits. The tannins are fine and detailed and give incredible tension and poise to this wine.
A wonderful example of Coolart and the ‘down the hill’ style Pinot. Spice and raspberry coulis are plentiful on the nose before you delve into a more floral, blackcurrant and umami palate. These flavours work magically with the small portion of this wine that has been whole bunch fermented, which create a sultry feel with a chewy savoury tannin edge.
Sitting at the lower portion of Coolart Road's eastern slope, ‘D Block’ – the historic heart of our single vineyard wines from this vineyard – typically has darker fruit, an earthy edge with bigger tannins.
This wine shows delicate rose petals intertwined with briny caper berry aromatics, lifting from the glass. The palate unfolds in layers, revealing dark plum and subtle balsamic notes, while hints of glazed beetroot add intrigue. Signature earthen tannins provide a lovely grippy framework, their rustic structure counterbalanced by sweet concentrated plum fruit.
Nestled mid-slope on the eastern face of our Coolart Road vineyard, ‘E block’ typically has soft silky tannins and a brooding savoury edge.
This wine shows savoury notes of charcuterie and exotic spice that weave through flavours of blood orange and dark plum. The wine's generous mid-palate richness is contained by the fine, earth-tinged tannins that frame this single block wine.
The lifted flint and bright citrus on the nose compliment the nutty and brioche characters that are displayed on the palate. A generous mouthfeel from an extended time in bottle on lees is well aligned with the crisp natural acidity driving the wine.
A fusion of poached pear, green apple, subtle notes of rose petal and vanilla, this wine is the combination of premium fruit parcels selected from across our North Merricks and Main Ridge vineyards. The palate is driven by citrus and lemon peel that leads into a deeper range of stone fruit characters, adding depth and layers to enjoy. The underlying mineral drive and bright acidity leaves a mouthwatering finish.
Cherry wood spice and earthy notes blend with raspberry, leather, pomegranate and plum, providing layers of fruit and a gracious and juicy palate. A lift of potpourri with some subtle gingerbread like components adds vibrancy that surround the earthy fine tannins.
A new wine in the 10X range. A blend of Riesling, Fiano, Friulano and Gewürztraminer from two of our ‘down the hill’ vineyards. Lush gooseberry, pink musk and lychee are alluring and glide gracefully into a green peppercorn, lime and spiced palate. An aromatic, refreshing and enticing wine with a soft saline nature and fine edge.
This wine is a blend of Pinot Gris parcels from three vineyards and displays citrus peel, perfumed musk, pear skin, and a touch of spice. It has great depth with a fine textural drive and phenolic grip, which provides an alluring finish.
Bright citrus, white nectarine, and perfumed floral notes bring a lovely freshness and vitality to this wine. As the palate glides through, there is a creamy mouthfeel, light and soft, key lime and biscuit crumb edges giving texture and grip. Delightful.
All the delicate details of Pinot Noir are evident throughout, with spice, red currant and cherry lift on the nose. Fresh on the palate with a energizing drive that is surrounded by delicious fruit.
Ruby red shades, earthy undertones and spice are beautifully intertwined with bursts of sweet perfume, providing a wonderful welcome to this wine. On the palate, it begins with raspberry and leathery notes that gracefully move towards a darker spectrum of black cherry as the wine glides and lingers. Tannins are fine and resolved, giving structure and depth, but it is the intense fruit profile that champions this wine, delivering on all levels from start to finish.
Made with fruit from the Paradigm Hill vineyard, this wine is a beautiful example of a cool climate Shiraz with mulberry, liquorice and bay leaf notes. A subtle but flavoursome mid palate of black cherry is moulded by the earthy tannins that enhance the drive and extend the finish.
