Ten Minutes by Tractor – Restaurant, Winery, safe from fire

By Ten Minutes by Tractor

Ten Minutes by Tractor winery and restaurant have both been spared and nobody seriously injured after a fire burnt the storage facility at one of the winery’s Mornington Peninsula sites.

Ten Minutes by Tractor owner Martin Spedding said that despite the loss of stock including vintage wine and tractors, the wine making facilities, vineyards and restaurant were not damaged.

“It’s devastating to lose some of our wine stock and some beautifully restored vintage tractors but there’s no negative impact on our wine making process or the winery itself. We’ve got an upcoming vintage which will continue unabated,” Mr Spedding said.

“Happily the restaurant is safe and hopefully we should be able to reopen again in a reasonable time frame,” he said.

“Our staff have been fantastic and I want to thank them for everything. We are so relieved that everybody is safe.

“We want to assure all our regulars and friends of the Ten Minutes family that Ten Minutes by Tractor is still forging ahead.

“We’ll be making another great vintage this year and soon we hope we’ll be able to re-open the restaurant. Our other restaurant Petit Tracteur remains open and unaffected by the fire with extended opening hours and tastings available.”
