On Tuesday the 13th of March, Ten Minutes by Tractor joined the Dinner by Heston Blumenthal team to launch their 2016 vintages.
On the night each of the dishes in the four course menu was accompanied by a flight of two or three of their wines, amongst them their award winning Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. When the idea of a dinner was suggested by Loic Avril, who spearheads our wine team, he initially had our Private Dining Room in mind which can seat a maximum of 12 guests but due to the tremendous response the numbers grew to a total of 70 guests and eventually ended up occupying most of the dining room. The evening was a great success and enjoyed immensely by the winery team, restaurant and guests alike.
We would like to take a moment to doff our caps to the resilience of our friends at Ten Minutes by Tractor as they have had a very difficult few weeks. Due to a fire in their restaurant and neighbouring storage building they lost precious wine stock and their beautifully restored vintage tractors. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt and the restaurant and wine making facilities were spared. With unparalleled professionalism they embraced the event with us as an opportunity to focus on the future.
